  1. Hello...i am very green with CCE I have always used TMPGENc but with the DV caps TMPGENc doest hold water. Seems that CCE will encode about half way through the job, then it throws out an error ... http://www.myshitty.com/cce_fail.jpg Ive tried encoding with audio and without ive tried almost all other combinations that i can think of, still no luck. I have an AMD Athlon XP 3000+ 512 ram ....

    Thanks

CCE can be touchy at times. I have never got that error. I usually have cyclic redundancy errors.

If you haven't tried it, uninstall it and reinstall, sometimes fixes CCE problems.

You might check out the Doom 9 forums. They have a active forum section on CCE. http://forum.doom9.org/

Post your set up info. How many passes are you attempting? Like the last guy mentioned, www.doom9.org is very helpful for CCE questions, but the guys aren't as friendly as they are here. Doom9 is not too "noob" friendly in my onpinion. Try there FAQ section, chances are that you are not the first one to see this problem although, I have used CCE to convert DV to MPEG2 about 100 times and never have seen this problem. Make sure that your CPU fan is working properly. Encode crashes often point to hardware problems.

    Goodluck,

    This is so much fun!
