    What causes the Avid Xpress Pro interface to blink and flash in a very annoying manner? Is is it a software conflict like a Windows Update or is it because I use a NVIDIA Geforce 3D accelerator video card instead of a expensive NVIDIA Quadro card? Or could it be caused by non-compliant drivers?

    Nevermind. I figured it out from a simple web search. It was one of the windows critical updates causing the problem so I just installed a patch that was produced for this issue and everything work fine now.
