To be honest a game like DOOM 3 works best in-so-far as level of control when using the keyboard/mouse setup.

The way the controls work a gamepad just doesn't cut it.

I remember trying QUAKE 3 on the dreamcast and I just couldn't get the same level of control over my movements as I could on the PC with the keyboard/mouse.

What about criticisms that it became boring and predictable after the first few levels? Did you find that to be the case, or did you get that far?

  5. "Capmaster" I think all the First person shooter's now a day's will not use game pad's any more. The mouse and keyboard are lot better. It take abour a day or two to switch over. One you get the mouse and keyboard there no going back.

I don't believe it becomes predictable, I just think that the instructions were given so well that you know what you have to do, then you do it. The only thing I dislike is the fact that there is no navigation, no HUD, nothing to guide you. Now that I think about it, I have probably wondered for a good hour.

I agree with spiderman2k1 keyboard\mouse is far better than gamepad. But I use the Nostromo N50 gaming pad and mouse and find that even better than keyboard \mouse.As for Doom3 it plays fine on my system P4 1.5 512ram 128mb FX5200 Although at min settings.Im about three hours total into it and its gettin kind of boring hope it gets better.
    Just my 2cents.

I am actually looking for something similar to that at the moment. Is that the only one you've had experience with, do you plan on, uh, upgrading? :P
