  1. This question might have been posted before, but sorry i didn't read everything in this forum. LOLZ
So, so far, i know dat If i put an .avi file and an .srt file into the same folder and name those two files w/ the same names then when you play the .avi file, the subtitle will appear. I tested and it works dat way.
But then when i tried .wmv instead of .avi, the sub doesn't work. Is dere any way i can put subtitle into a video w/ .wmv file? or do i must convert the file into .avi.
Also, How can i put the sub into the .avi file permanently?
    thankxxxxxxx

You can use VobSub 2.23 filter(vsfilter.dll in system32 folder)in VirtualDubMod.

Open you AVI with VRDubMod an go into video>>Filters>>Add>>Load>>vsfilter.dll(make sure to change file type so you can see DLLs). Once you find it you'll see in you list of filters TextSub. Now go back out to the main screen....click on Video>>Full processing mode....then go into compression and choose a codec(i usually choose the one that i find in File>>File Information) to compress your AVI in. Once you choose your Codec click on the configure button(if possible) and you set the average Bitrate( find a bitrate calculator) and then go into File>>save as... and save you AVI(under a new name so you dont overwrite your other). You can check out step 6 to 9 in my guide https://www.videohelp.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=231739
