  1. Since there are usually 3 or 4 shows on one disk how do you rip the disk to get all the shows. So far I can only get one of the shows. Also, if I only want one specific show off the disk, how do I find that one to rip?

    Thanks

What are you using to rip ?

If you are using smartripper, try the guide here. I think the secret is to go to file mode and not movie mode.

If you are using DVD Decrypter, try the guide here. Again, go into file mode.

Chances are you are probably going to need to Shrink the DVD, so you could also try the guide here for help with DVDShrink.

What you want to do with the individual episode will determine the best way to isolate it.
    If in doubt, Google it.

  3. Thanks. My preferrence is decrypter, and I will check out the guides you listed. Basically, I want to pick out episodes that I missed watching, or that were of specific interest, to burn as VCD files. Because I am not interested in high quality, I usually encode this type file small enough to get 3 eps on one disk. Again, thanks

  4. that you diane?

  5. Yup it's me, who else would be asking questions like this. You sure do keep track of me, R U trying to tell me something. I think these forums are great and while sometimes the answers are a little above my understanding, I can eventually get answers that I do understand. This is where I got basics on dvdauthor. I have also found that most of the guides I am directed to are written in layman's language, not completely technical.

Thanks everyone for all your help.

There are a multitude of different methods and programs to do this.

The user-friendly way would be to use Eazy VCD, which will do everything for you, but you lose a bit of control in setting bitrates and things like that. Or you can do it the manual way.
    If in doubt, Google it.
