  1. hello,i'm sort of new at this(3 months or so) with video,i have been burnin music for awhile(i'm a deejay).....well,i can shrink my dvd with dvd shrink, but when it jumps to nero to burn,i get a "power calibration error" for my dvdr drive, a pioneer dvr a105,same thing when i send it to dvd decrypter.now whats wierd is that i have done about 30 dvd-r's already from various media.a company called vanguard, their media is the only one giving me that problem.if i use verbatim or riteks or even compusa dvd-r's it goes through fine.so....is there something wrong with my drive or is it the media?i have never updated its firmware cause i dont know how to or where to go....thanx anyone and everyone

Power callibration errors are usually bad media, sometimes burner problems. From your description, bad media. The media you were using may not be consistant quality and you got a bad batch.

If your other media works, I would change brands.
