  1. Bought one of these from Lidl, however i notice that the sound is very low and I can't seem to get it any higher no matter what I try. I've tried 2 different scart cables. Is there any way I can increase the sound, at the moment I've connected it to my HiFi so that we can hear it, but I'd prefer it if we could sort it out some other way. Thsi is the 2nd player I've used on this set (Panasonic) and I had the same problem with the other one, that's why I swapped it, I've tried both scart sockets, 2 different cables and 2 players so far with no improvement any help gratefully received Thanks

  2. Don't know your brand but the quite a few Panasonics, many
Toshiba's and some LG's suffer from this.

If you had kept the Panasonic, the solution would have been
to play with the dynamic speech settings deep in the menu.
Dynamic speech alters all other channels in relation to
the centre "speech" channel and is the main cause of
    soft audio.

Also remember that the default audio gain on a DVD player
is less than half that of a VHS unit. When hooked directly to
a TV you have to take that into account. Some players have
a special RF mode to compensate.
