Best is relative. For DIVX and XVID, easy, look into TheFilmMachine. Best, separate the audio, use TMPGEnc or other for encode, combine in TMPGEnc DVD Author or similar. (It can get complex, depending on the file)
You need to READ THE GUIDES TO THE LEFT. You need to do some study before those questions can be answered properly.
Don't mean to put you off or discourage, but there are literally hundreds of programs that deal with video files. The more you know, the easier it becomes. The 'Best' depends on what you want to do and how much effort you want to put out. Hang around here a while, you will see what I mean. -
Thanks for the reply, but what about the WinAvi program?
http://www.winavi.com/
Claims to be able to convert all the video to dvd format, looks good. -
When using Winavi, what source frame rate, Target format, and Target scale do I use?
-
Okay, so I leave frame rate at auto, target format would be pal..(Im in the uk). But im confuzed about the target scale. It says the aspect ratio is based in the source movie, how do I know what to put it to?
-
Well the movie is either going to be 4:3 or 16:9, look at the video and see which.
