I got a strange problem that I was hoping someone could shed some light on.
I tried to run Norton Ghost 2003 straight to a dvd but it didn’t work. It was suggested to me to put the image to another drive and then burn it after. No problem.
I tried to do that but Ghost gave me a message saying it couldn’t find the other drive. I have 4. Two hard drives (10gig and a 120gig) and two optical drives (LG cd burner and an LG dvd burner). In windows, all 4 drivers show up. However if I go into my bios, only the primary master (10gig) and the secondary master (cd burner) show up. If I go into IDE auto detect, it freezes and I have to reboot.
I have them setup on the cables as follows:
Primary Master: 10gig
Secondary Master: 120gig
Primary Slave: cd burner
Secondary Slave: dvd burner
What gives? Any thoughts?
LG

If you check out the review for Symantec Ghost on CNet you will see people always seem to have troubles with it.
If you didn't pay for Symantec Ghost yet try Acronis True Image 8, available at CNet also.

Perhaps I should clarify.
Im thinking the problem with Ghost is that the bios is not picking up the drives prior to windows picking them up (I will assume due to plug and play).
Im not so much worried about Ghost not working as I am concerned as to why my drivers arent being picked up by the MB.
EDIT: I will also add that all the jumpers on the respective drives are in the correct places. -
