  1. I was watching an AVI video and Windows Media Player just doesn't want to play it, it gives me an error with mp4vdec.ax listed as the error. Whatever the hell that is. I tried other players like WinDVD and Winamp and they all acted the same as Windows Media Player, they all just close themselves. What could be the problem? Thanks.

You need an MP4/DivX decoder. You could download the latest Windows Media Player 9 which will install the latest codecs or you can just download a separate decoder. I think you can use the one on Xvid's download page.

  3. Hmm I have DivX 5 and 3.11 and I have XviD codecs already. But I guess I'll try reinstalling. Thanks, I'll update the post on this.

  4. Thanks dude. I used YAAI to see what codec was used to compress the file and it was XviD so I went to Koepi's page and downloaded the newest XviD codec and the files work now. Thanks.
