I have a Duplicator with the Pioneer A07/107 and firmware of 1.13 ---- Should I upgrade the bios on this thing, or is it fine with this version? I am mainly using Ritek G04's. Was wanting to go to the G05's pretty soon...
Since it is a standalone unit, just how do you proceed to do the update? It has a function for "update bios" - would it just install from a basic downloaded file???
THANKS!
Richard

I'm a proponent of "if nothing's broke, don't mess with it".
If the burner's working fine and you have a low amount of coasters with the media you use, why change? I'd burn a few of the G05s and run some scans to see what the burn quality looks like. If it's below DVD-R writing spec or considerably worse than the G04s, then try a f/w update. A buddy I hooked up with a 107 is switching from G04s to TY and MCC 8x next week. If you're interested, I'll let you know how that goes.
Best of Luck,

Thanks! I appreciate the info...I was also thinking of getting some Ty's...
