  1. Is there any tool that can extract .wav audio from and .asf file? I even tried the old VirtualDub versions, but they said some kind of an error. Is there another freeware tool?

    See if can be loaded into Gold Wave, then save it as a WAVE file.

  3. are you sure you've used the right older version? try 1.3c

    Also you could record your wave audio and playback the asf file in windows media.

  5. my .asf file had some problem that made virtualdub 1.3c give an error

    i opened the .asf with TMPGEnc and extracted the .wav by clicking Output Wav
