Yeah, I haven't seen my paycheck in 10 years, only my weekly allowance (which thankfully is substancial), but there's always money for things when I ask for it! She handles the finances well, so I say, let her!

When I dated my wife she had 1 checkbook and was always complaining of their (the banks) mistakes. Needless to say when we got married i've been handling the banking (Online bill pay with MS Money... haven't put a stamp on a envelope since 1998) ... Even checking her accounts every so often she still overdrafts her checking.

I just paid some guy who fixed our air conditioner. 1 condencing coil fan and 1 special mounting bracket. $300

Now it will take the rest of the night to cool the house down to 72 where I like it

That sucks dude. Seems to me that you need to find a friend in the heating and air conditioning industry. My cousin is in the heating and air conditioning business and he just got me a whole central air unit for $350. He's going to install it next weekend (if he has time) for a steak on the grill and a few beers

$350 bucks huh? Better be a great A/C unit, because it's going to take a lot to cool down that hot unit

Back when I work construction (7 years ago) I had a couple of guys install a 4 ton unit on my place, but they were able to get it working. They called one of their friends in and he called them a couple of morons for installing a 4 ton 3 phase A/C unit in a residential 2 phase...

I had to put the old unit back on myself as they guys would never come back to do it. Later I kicked one guys ass after finally catching up to him.

2 years later I sold the 3 phase unit to the guy that put a new roof on the place for the price of the roof.

A new Colman/Carrier will cost about $2500. I'll do it this winter if I decide to keep this place.
