Sorry the mods seemed to think it wasn't appropriate for this forum and they decided to remove it. I can only make suggestions. They pull the trigger when they feel its right to do so. Bring it up with them if you disagree with their choice.

Pinto beans, never made them before. I fancy myself as quite a cook, least that what everyone says. So today I embarked on the best pinto beans I could do. I made them in a crock pot (1 gal electric pot made of ceramic)


2lbs Pinto beans
1/2 large sweet onion (Wala Wala sweets in this case, WA states best)
6 cloves garlic minced
4 New Mexico's Anahem(sp?) green chiles
2 Pickeled jalapeño peppers
1/2 LB ham cubed at 1/2inch (left over from X-mas)
1 ham bone (yado loves bones)
2 Tlb brown sugar
6 cups vegetabel broth
2 cups beef broth
Add enough water to cover everything by 2 inches
1-2 tea black pepper
NO SALT!!!


Threw it all in the crock pot on high, skimmed the floaters (beans) after 5 mins and after 6 hours MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

OK I added Tabasco to it at the end, just didn't have the bite I wanted.

Just got a new GE dryer. Our Kenmore died after having it for 14 years...Hope this one lasts that long...Next will be a new washer

I'm glad i'm still in college and don't have to worry about replacing expensive appliances.....all i have to worry about is whether or not i have enough money for a night out with the boys or the girl(hopefully both, or there might be hell to pay if I make the wrong choice )

My new dryer was getting really hot, but the clothes weren't drying very fast. I called the place I got it from and who hooked it up for free. They said it sounded like the vent pipe was clogged with lint. Well I just pulled out 2 feet of lint out of the top of the lint pipe on the roof. First I used my BBQ tongs then had to make a hook from a coat hanger. Then I had to tape the coat hanger to a broomstick....Now I feel like crap after breathing in so much freaking lint..

Dryer works great now.

Moral to the story, get your pipes cleaned out once every 15 years
