  1. I have a Pinnacle DC10 Plus for capture of analog movies. I made capture using STUDIO 9 with high quality, then I made EDIT and finally the MENU :I saved on hard disk in DVD format(Files "VOB" e "IFO", 60min each DVD).
After that I burnt the DVD using NERO : the result is OK if I use the PC, but if I use an home DVD (I tried with different types Philips, Sony, etc) the movie is affected by a strong Aliasing effect(the image, especially when there is a fast movement, shows "steps" in the profiles , with a "queue" effect).
This doesn't happen when acquisition is from a digital source.
Could you please help me to correct this problem ?

  2. Capturing from a digital source you are going thru Fwire, right?

The DC10 (MotionJPEG) is known for its problems with artifacts. You have to use STudio to record so you may want to download the latest set of drivers and see if that resolves your problem. I was encountering the same problem and trashed the DC10 and purchased an external Hware MPEG encoder. I've also been playing with AV --> DV --> Firewire passthru.

  3. Thank you very much for your support, DVD_Ripper.
I use Firewire interface for the capture of digital movies.
I tried to find the latest drivers for DC10 Plus but on www.pinnaclesys.com
I could find driver "miroVIDEO DC10 version 1.21" which is for Win98SE : my op.system is XP Pro.
Could you pls suggest some site to find drivers for XP ??
I sent the same questions about aliasing to Pinnacle : the answer was " to contact Nero because the DVD was burnt using this software" (!!!!!)
