  1. I know that it's possible to build your own pc, but... is it possible to build your own notebook?, If so, do you know a good website where I can purchase the parts?.

    Thanks in advance

Not that I have ever seen. I think notebooks are very proprietary as far as the parts they use. Partially because of the small amount of internal space involved. There are a few companies that can 'build' a notebook, such as Gateway. Basically they just give you a few more options like bigger HD or a DVD burner instead of a CD burner.

There are a lot of companies that make notebook computers. You might spend a little time searching for the combo you want. If you can't find it, just wait. Just about any combination should eventually be available.

I actually found a website that sells notebook parts. I didn't bother to bookmark it, though. I priced out a system and it was more expensive than buying one off the shelf.

  4. Yes and no. You sort of have to be a dealer and sign to order minimal
several hundred units. You can, however, buy what is called a bare bones
laptop to which you add your own CPU, RAM and hard drive.
You don't end up saving money though
