I'm looking to make simple still menus (no sound) for some TV episodes I want to archive. This shouldn't be hard but its become so.
TMPGEnc DVD Author clips my episodes. For example the middle episode of I, Claudius goes from 52 minutes to about 30 (+/- 5min). So its a no go,
DVDAuthorgui has worked but its a pain to make every menu via photoshop. It also cuts about 1/3 off the ends of the menu, depending on the TV. Still not acceptable.
The trial version of DVD Workshop has some size limitations, and the crack does not remove them. Regardless it seems to recompress from *.vob to *.mpg, which although probably lossless still make me paranoid.
So basically what program is cheap/free that has premade menus. If it costs money, I'd to have a trial version that doesn't disable features.
