Would have never guess that Sony would make the first move, but its fine by me.
I'm not upgrading until Pioneer makes a dual format/dual layer drive personally, I'm hopeing I can afford the disk by that time. -
Maybe next year I'll consider DL DVD-R. Maybe.

If I need to back up a long movie I'll use 2 SL discs. They cost ~ $1 for both if I buy them in bulk. -

Just for the record guys, these discs are Verbatim. They say it right on the top right hand corner. Sony just didn't want to advertise for them on their site. I picked some up for a project I'm working on for a family member.
