Chin, in Manhattan, said that the implicit guarantee of anonymity in the Bill of Rights is an insufficient shield in this case: "Such a person's identity is not protected from disclosure by the First Amendment."

they cant, because they would need the subscribers signture to allow any info to be passed on? wht happend to the data protection act! have they forgtten about tht!

That's why they've lobbied for legislation that will allow them to circumvent that since it's part of a 'criminal investigation'. Looks like they got it.
Nothing can stop me now, 'cause I don't care anymore.
