MMmmm lovely kit. Aren't these great? Initially i was a bit disappointed when trying some oldish original tapes.. but when i tried some stuff rec'd in LP [lots of stuff crammed on a tape] it was rock solid. I have noticed the auto tracking has trouble locking onto some tapes and just keeps searching up and down. Apart from turning BEST off can i make slight manual ajustments to tracking if i want? Also.. is it a good idea to clean the heads.. and what would people recommend for this.. a particular brand of cleaning tape or method?
thanks

i just use the wet/dry tapes, with isopropyl alcohol.
but i never rewind em and use again.so youll get a few cleans out of a tape cleaner.then just buy a new one.
by the way,how much did you pick it up for? -
K cool.. well i realised that they go a lot cheaper and are more plentiful on German Ebay.. i paid abt £250 and another one i saw, in immaculate ex display cond. went for a LOT less.. this is after me having bid up to £440! for one on Ebay UK.. man am i glad I lost that one. Can u adjust manual tracking ?

Well i've since discovered that manual tracking is performed by means of the 'tv prog +/-' button.. something the manual fails to point out.. but if anyone else was wondering, there you are.

Hrmn, it was in the manual lol .. It's amazing how this handles large area's of black.. you appreciate the difference when u stop/start and the tbc kicks in.. looks better than my ld did..
