my cd-rw is no from creative, the new versions of NERO say that it only works with creative cd-rw's do you guys know of any old versions of nero that work on other cd-rws? and where do i get the old version of nero?

All version of Nero work, but it is the serial number that will limit you to only one brand of drive. This normally happens when you are using Nero that was bundled with a particular drive, so it is serialized only to that drive. You can purchase a general use serial number at their website...nero.com which will unlock Nero to work with any and all drives.
