I have no idea where to start, but here goes. About 10 minutes ago my computer went nutty. It started switching to sleep mode and back, and about 5 minutes later it shut off. When it reboot I got this error:

    Does this mean it died?

Yah, I already tried that. That worked until I got to the point of playing games, everything would be fine except for the ground would be blue.

My other computers are a '96 Compaq and a '98 HP, I don't think it's worth my time there.

Fresh install of OS and drivers?
I just did that last night, for hopefully the last time.

Nah I'm affraid I'd wreck one if I tried.

I am using the DirectX 9 drivers from Far Cry I think.

I have a feeling this card is going to be gone soon anyways, the more I hear about it the shittier it becomes. Is installing a new one hard? My installations go as far as RAM, PCI cards, and hard disks.

  7. Are you using the 61.76 or 61.77 drivers (forceware? If so, I suggest you downgrade to the nice and stable 56.72s.

When I installed the Forceware ones that is when the ground went blue. I guess I am on the older ones, they are the ones that came with it. :P
