  1. First off, I will apologise for double posting this, as I think I popsted in the wrong group before, and hope this one is the right one.

Hi, I have a media file on my PC and it plays ok with audio and video.
I converted it to a mpg2 using TMPGenc pro, and after authoring with TEMPGENC Author I burned it to a dvd.
When I played said dvd in my 'play all' player the sound was distorted, like there is interference on the audio and is difficult to hear voices.

The audio on the converted avi file is ok, and the audio on the dvd is ok *when* played on my pc, but not on the dvd player.
This is the first time I have had this problem so does anyone know why this is and how it can be corrected?

Oh, I burnt another dvd but it is still the same problem
    Thanks

  2. I played the authored file before it is burnt to dvd on my PC and it plays fine with good sound and hardly any interference. I ended up giving the said dvd to my next door neighbour as it plays fine on his dvd playey.

So is it my Pioneer 444 dvd player that is the problem even though it plays other dvds since?

    Thanks
