  1. Hi Forum.

What I would ultimatly like to do is get .jpeg files from my sister-in-laws wedding slideshow DVD. The DVD was created by the photographer. I made a back-up for her with Sonic MyDVD (exact copy tool).

I read somewhere that DVD Decrypter would convert .vob to .mpeg or .mpeg2. I thought I would do that then use Video2Photo to make .jpegs from the video (Video2Photo wont accept the DVD or .vob directly, you get sound but no video). Problem: When I use DVD Decrypter (at least in file mode), it seems to me that all it does is make .vob, .ifo, and .bup. I assume these are decryted and ready to make a DVD or something, but I need something I can extract .jpegs from. I have read the guide at doom9, but did not see anything about .mpeg (actually, most of it was over my head). The link to the guide (forum) at dvddecrypter.com is (was) dead.

Am I on the right track? Is this the best way to get the best quality .jpegs from the DVD? What am I doing wrong with the DVD Decrypter?

    Thanks for any input,
    John

In DVD Decryptor I think you need to rip in IFO Mode and under settings check Enable Stream Processing and on the Stream Processing Tab Demux all files
