I am a newb here at this forum. I didn't know where else to post this, and you can move it if you can find a place it's more suitable.

I don't know anything about burning, at all. My boyfriend does it all for me. But he's not any good at the internet, so I am here asking this question for him. We are trying to make a copy of a TV series on DVD, but every time we copy it, we only get the first episode on each disk. What can we do to get all the episodes and not just one? And please try to put it in simple "idiot user" terms, otherwise I won't know what the heck you're saying. Thank you for being patient with me.

    Hello,
I use dvdshrink. You can just click "full backup" and it will backup the whole disc. If you want just the shows click "reauthor". Then select EACH title (ie show).

Then you will get a backup that will play the shows automatically without menus (Of course, you need nero to burn with dvd shrink, OR use any dvd burning program to burn the video_ts folder that is made from the backup). There are other programs out there that you can try out.

P.S. If you need clarification just ask which step you need help on.

    Hello,
You can get nero at any electronics store. You can also go to their website and download a trial version (at www.nero.com). You should have also gotten some basic burning software with your dvd/cd burner.

If you d/l and install the trial version of Nero you can also burn with the newer versions of Dvdshrink. If you are using win 2k or win xp you can use Dvddecrypter (an excellent and free software) to burn to dvd. I use Dvddecrypter as my backup if Dvdshrink fails to rip, it is a more aggressive ripping tool than Dvdshrink and will rip some problem dvd's that Shrink won't.

Thanks, guys, you were really helpful, and you didn't load me with a bunch of jargon that I didn't understand. You might see me around more when I get my new computer, but that won't be for a while. Peace. 8)
