My problem is... I don't know how to discribe it.. The quality of the videos I watch when I use the Full Screen mode, even if the original video is 655x500 while my screen resolution is 800x600.
.... is this normal?

I am assuming you are talking about a software player on your PC, yes ?
If you set it to fullscreen, it will probably stretch it out to fit the resolution you are running at. Normal behaviour, but will also reduce the quality of the image. I don't know the source of your image, as the resolution you talk about is not DVD compliant.
Generally, I find DVD viewing on a PC screen to be very disappointing, especially compared to my lovely Loewe TV.
