ive installed all the components that ffmpeg needs but for somereason it still shows mpeg2enc in red and doesnt install ive read somewhere that you need to be connected to the ent when installing this but there isnt a driver for my modem on oxs 10.2 my modem is the green alcatel adsl frog and im on btopenworld is there anyway i can get the mpeg2enc component installed on ffmpeg because i really want to convert my svcds/vcds into dvd-r

ffmpeg seems to require exactly correct version of it's subcomponents. If for example mpeg2enc version required is .xx, it's not likely not to work with .x1. That's why you should also download files exactly from the address specified in installer, not some other place offering same file, but maybe different versions.
Of course, you can copy working ffmpegx from someone, I think all files are included in package, ie. the thing you see as ffmpegx-application.
Your ADSL-device is USB? Running on PC with newer OS than 98SE? Why not connect your Mac and PC with ethernet, turn on Internet Connection Sharing on PC and reload ffmpegx. If your PC doesn't have Ethernet, cards are dirt cheap, used maybe 2€, brand new FastEthernet card is maybe 8€. Your Mac has it for sure.
