Yeah, i was amazingly pissed off that the police wouldn't do anything. we called them while chasing the guy, expecting them to give chase - guy was speeding in a residential area, had hit another car, and had legged it - he was probably drunk and high. did they give a shit? no.

I was all for toasting the guys car (had his address) but it came to nothing. heck, it's been long enough now - sure he doesn't even remember the event. best way to avoid getting convicted of a crime, don't be a suspect.
    You're thinking of a "drive-by"
In Cali a Drive-by gets you an automatic 25-Life with no parol....

In my neck of the woods a "drive-by" like you all think would be a very dangerous proposition. Drive-by's usually consist of small arms in the US but the folks in my neighborhood pack some heavy shit in their houses at the ready. Some of them have even been charged with sniping snowmobiles as they make noise going down the river behind my house. I don't think I'd want to start shooting up some guy's house when you know he has to have at least a few large-caliber big-game rifles in the house and can shoot deer on the run

As for cars I'm a firm believer in the rule: don't **** with a man's car. The same applies for many other things in life but it seems more apt here.

"Pranged". Heh, I'll have to remember that one.

Thanks Will, dunno where thayne is but damaging a car because it takes up two spaces is a little severe - not that I was taking up two spaces anyway. I was the only car in a mile.

There's a lot of c*nts around my friend, no matter where you live but damaging a car on purpose just because you're envious you don't have one (perhaps?) is a ******* cowards trick.
A don't get me started on what the ******* coppers would do (or wouldn't do, as is the case here) if you reported it.

Its the lowest of the low mate - sub-human scum as Partridge would say. A tiny nick or chip wouldn't have been so bad I'd think "well maybe they didn't notice" but they've damaged the wing and front valance so I can't believe they drove off without noticing.

Reporting car crime to the police is a complete waste of time, I'd be better off reporting it to Baldrick

Well, when you have to drive around for 10 -15 minutes just to find a spot to park, then you see some twat taking up two spots, it kinda pisses people off and I don't blame someone for damaging the car.

I personally have never damaged cars like this, but I know people who have, and people who have had it done to them...

I remember when a drive-by was when someone presses their 'HAM' against or out the window mooning everyone they drive by.

Sorry about your car. I've had that happen to me a couple of times. One while I was watching it from a short distance. The guy didn't realize he was being watched and just drove off. I got his license plate and one other guy witnessed it. It was a 19yr old using his parents vehicle without their permission. I had to have my right front panel replaced on my Toyota Celica. This was years back. his parents made him call me and apologize and his father sounded like he gave his son an a** reaming something fierce. The kid was in tears apologizing. Serves him right.
