  1. right now i am using the trial version of most ofthe softwares, i am a beginner. 1rst , i would like to know on which of the softwares and best ones to purchase. 2nd , do i absolutely need a capture card , if so which is the best to go with . 3rd , right now i am using the trial version of tmpegnc to encode the clipsto mpeg 2 and then using sonic my dvd to author and burn......is this way ok ! or not .......

  3. to burn movies........one more thing , right nowe when i burn something it;s a little to big for my tv screen , when i play it. is therte some where were i can fix this.

    A little more info would be nice, but here goes. Do yourself a favor and drop-kick Sonic MyDVD into a dumpster. It's nothing but trouble, IMHO. Get a good free authoring program (look in the tools section) or pay for something decent, but inexpensive like Ulead DVD Movie Factory.

    Keep TMPGEnc.

  7. i still can not seam to get my picture very clear or sometimes its a bit to bright after i burn my movie on dvd and play it in my dvd player to watch on tv. is there any way of settinng up somrthing so it fixes these problems aoutomaticaly. any ibfo would be great. i am, using tmpegnc and unlead dvd movie factory .

    You may have to open it in an editor and tweak it there. Do you have an editing app?

    ou can open the MPEG file, cut out unwanted stuff, change the audio format, change the video format, add scene fades - almost anything. Then you save it as an MPEG. Check them out in the tools section.
