  1. I had an 8MM film put on DVD by a local company. They put it on a Verbatim DVD+R disc. I have the NEC 2150 burner.

Everytime I try to copy it to another DVD or to the hard drive I get a cyclic redundancy error. It seems I can play the disc and I've been able to burn other discs. What gives? I really hope it isn't my drive.

    Do you have any idea?

    Thanks.

  2. Try copying it from another drive. Even though there may be nothing wrong with your drive, some drives just don't like reading some discs. Plus, I don't know how good the NEC 2150 is as a reader, but the NEC 2500 is a piss poor reader (which I have) in comparison to like a Lite-on.
    Blah, blah, blah

  3. What aplication are you trying to use to copy the DVD?
This plan is so bad, it must be one of ours.

The disc might be dirty and scratched.

I recommend cleaning and resurfacing the disc.
