We've been discussing the capabilities of various hardware video processors/enhancers and their use prior to capturing/encoding in another thread... thought you might like to have a look at this test frame I grabbed last night. It is from a VHS tape of old banned cartoons, the quality of some of them being extremely poor. This particular cartoon is very washed out and way out of hue. I'm using an Elite Video BVP-4 Plus processor, which has some unique and very powerful correction adjustments. It also has a split screen feature that allows you to compare the original video input (left) with the enhanced/corrected output (right). Very impressive unit...
