  1. anyone have any probs with their puter freezing whilst using video editing apps like tmpgenc, virtualdub etc. this only happens when i use these type of processor intensive apps. ive changed memory, hard drive, graphics card and done a fresh install of xp. with only my o/s and tmpgenc and virtualdub installed it still frezes up so im thinking its not a software conflict but maybe a processor or mobo problem? this has only recently started to happen and its frustrating as hell. any advice would be great. btw im using 512mb 400mhz ddr ram, xp2600+ processor.

Don't forget to defrag, use only the programs doing the actual editing, no 'Net surfing, and remove any unused registries. That's what I think.

mobo could be causing the problems, possibly your page file isn't set up as best as it could be either.
    If in doubt, Google it.

    Overheating?

Try running withe the covers off and a desktop fan blowing onto the 'puter. This will show if overheating could be the cause.
