I have a p4 running windows xp, I have a TDK 24/10/40 cd/rw, Hpdvd100j running on the ide bus. I have a pioneer scsi dvd player on scsi bus.
Now the problem; all the drives work and have the drivers installed HOWEVER, I can not get most software to recognize the drives for writing. For example Video Pack refuses to see anything but a virtual cd. Wont see the dvd rw at all. Ulead movie factory wont see it either and same as nero 5.5.5.4, however MyDvd sees it and writes to it fine. Windows xp explorer sees it and recognizes it when i insert a blank dvd.
I would assume others out there have a HP dvd/rw and have used nero or video pack, could you post reply to let me know if there is something specail i must do?
Thank you,
FnG
