I thought I remembered learning that any bill not passed into law by the Senate's Augest recess becomes a dead bill.
Sense the Senate is recessing for the augest, doesn't this mean that bills like the Induce and Pirate act are dead?

I can't be sure about the "recess dracula clause" (my own term), but the only way the Senate can pass a law is by getting with the House to over ride a president's previous veto of a bill.Originally Posted by Greg12Hello.
