A member of my family is hard of hearing, and I would love to be able to encode the SVCDs I am capturing from TV with either closed captions or subtitles. I have an ATI Radeon AIW DDR card which is able to read CC data live. While watching or recording, I can see this CC data and even save it to a text file.
After recording it, however, I cannot find a program that is able to view this data, and burning it off does not make this CC data available to the TV.
Do you know of any program that will do this, or if it is even possible for a capture card to capture CC data?
If not, I would like to encode actual subtitles using the raw text I can get using the ATI software. Any tips on what programs I would need or how I could encode/time these subtitles?
Thanks for any help you can give me!
