    I am a bit confused by what I read about Disceet Combustion on its web page. It says editing but does that include DV avi editing? Has anyone tried this app?

    Combustion is really a compositing, motion graphics and effects tool, along the lines of After Effects or Digital Fusion (functionally, it is more like Fusion). It does have some rudimentary editing capabilities in an editing node, however it is not a replacement for a full NLE, but rather something to help you make a quick change on the fly while doing effects work.
