    is there any program faster than TMPGEnc in encoding mpg1 to vcd, but with more or less same quality output...

    i don't care how much is the price of the software, as long as it is faster in encoding and have same quality output.
    hacking the Net using typewriter :D

    Cinema Craft Encoder Basic and Mainconcept MPEG Encoder are supposed to be faster than TMPGEnc.

    i have Mainconcept Mpeg Encoder built into Vegas 5, works like a charm.

    yep mainconcept 3 times faster than tmpgenc
    i only use tmpgenc if i have to adjust brightness
