Is this possible? I have only seen an option for a 2-pass encoding, but I have also seen a 5-pass movie possibly created with TMPG. Also, what do the 3 extra passes do? Thx.

There is only an option for 2pass encoding in TMPG. Since TMPG does not save a video information file like cce do, there is no way to use more passes.

Yes, I have heard about this "cce". Are there any guides for it on this site? I have looked through the Convert section, but I haven't found it. Is there any other keyword I should be looking for?

You may have a look at this guide: http://www.doom9.org/mpg/cce.htm
