Little bro's computer had weird blue-screens while playing 3D-intensive games with Club 3D Radeon 9200SE (128MB).

We thought adding fan, but as first aid, as it were easier, we removed heatsink and added thermal compound (correct name?), includes silver. Original heatsink didn't have any (!) thermal paste, it's just sink, with rather "easy-pressing"-holder.

Adding thermal compound helped, no more blue screens of death

Sink is easily removed, there are two plastic holders, just push 'em both and heatsink is easy to remove. NO POTENTIAL DANGER TO CHIP, since it's "all in one package, nothing external". Add thermal paste, replace heatsink and it just works flawless! Card itself is quite powerful and has really good picture quality, yet it's dirt cheap (at least in Finland). Maybe not for HC-gamers, but works for everyone else.

If you are having weird bluescreens of death, etc, when playing graphics intensive games, it might be good idea to check, what is between graphics-chip and its heat sink, or is there anything at all?! You may be surprised... It may be easy to fix and doesn't require new card (well, card-maker is supposed to do this at factory).
