  1. When I try to make a back up of a dvd I run it through dvd decrypter to rip the files and I have no problems!
But recently I had a film that needed compressing so I used DVD SHRINK.
It all ran fine doing the analysis and then I press backup and set the various things like burn speed, region etc and press burn.
But when its about half way through the next part I suddenly get the blue screen of death and an error message that says KERNEL STACK INPAGE ERROR.
Does anyone know what this is because I cannot backup any dvd that requires shrinking?

    Hello,
Can you play dual layer dvds on your computer (the professional real discs)?? It sounds like maybe it crashes when it switches to the second layer to continue ripping. See if you can get a firmware upgrade for your dvdrom player.

Could be a number of things. IRQ conflicts, overheating,etc... I had this same problem a while back when I changed PC cases. I had to move my PCI cards around before I was able to correct it. Mine was of course an IRQ conflict. Some software is more sensitive then others when there' s a problem. That could explain why DVD Decrypter does'nt do this to you. Could also be memory timing's as well. Like I said could be a number of things.

Have you tried unistalling and reinstalling DVDShrink to see if it fixes it?

Gurm- Yoda, do you actually run into people who DON'T know what movie that's from?
If your referring to the yoda quote I ASSUME everyone knows its from Empire Strikes Back. If you follow the : its for the second set of quotes. This is more obscure, it happens to be Keaunu Reeves first real movie do you know which one {from late 1980's}???.
    Kevin

P.S. I just edited the tag line to make it obvious which quote I'm asking about!

    Hello,
    jimmalenko-Bill and Ted's Excellent adventure ???
    BINGO!
Somebody got my movie quote of the DAY! It's a quote from the Bill and Ted characters when they are confronted by the ROYAL UGLY DUDE. They're about to be executed but don't know it. So to sound upper class english they promptly say:
Ted {Keanu} "I am the DUKE of Ted"
Bill {Alex Winter} "and I am the EARL of Preston"

Great laugh line if I do say so myself.

Wow, you guys ARE young, to think that B&T's is an "obscure movie". I _was_ referring to that, and I know the movie pretty much verbatim.

"His favorite songs are... ______, ______, and ________!"

No kidding. As soon as the dvds came out the other year I bought both: Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and Bill And Ted's Bogus Journey.

In fact I saw both in the theatres. I'm really not that old I'm 26.
