  1. i have thetransporter movie in divx. im trying to convert it to mpg so that i can later author it and then burn it to a dvd+r. i used tmpgenc xpress but the aspect ratio isnt the same. it seems to have stretched it out vertically a little bit. ive also tried using other programs too like thefilmmachine etc....but these ones dont tell me how big the resulting mpg file is so that it can fit the mpg to a dvd+r. ive tried the trial versian of winavi it is exactly what im looking for. it fits the mpg file so that it will later fit onto a dvd+r and it keeps the aspect ratio....however the trial version has watermarks......so right now im asking if anybody knows any other good programs out there that can do the job for me. i can only use trial versions and freeware becuase im cheap..lol...

Use TMPGEnc and select Full Screen (keep aspect ratio) in the video arrange method box.

If I explained it step by step then I might as well call it a guide. Here's one ready made for you.
