Alcohol 120% will work great or blind read/blind write

    Also:
If you make a copy of this disk it will not work unless you use a modchip or have some other original disk to use in conjunction with it

doesn't it boot with the modification or something as mentioned?

I'm sure I read about it somewhere but maybe I'm mistaken

    PS2 Mode
Direct-boot ALL PS2 games including backups, imports, originals, silvers and DVD9.

that mentions you can boot a backup with a PS2 and this one looks the business

"There is NO WAY to burn a disc that will boot in a PS2. None. Zero. Zip. Nada. Nil. Zilch. Nein. NYET!"

    ...BULLSHIT!!!

Then again... maybe that's too harsh.

You should qualify that statement with "...boot in a PS2 without a modchip."

Several mods for the PS2 allow direct boot of burnt backups.

    leave it Gurm, lol

  8. swap disks are pressed. However, it is possible to copy them as I have seen it done. However, again, you CANNOT boot a ps2 with a copy of a swap magic disk.

Whoever said you need a modchip to boot a back up swap magic forgot that if you have a modchip you don't need the swap magic.......

Very true I was just making a point copying them is completely useless
only time where I seen this type of thing as a benefit was when people copied gameshark cds so they could use the gameshark capabilities with their modchips

Ditto, we know what you meant
If we could make a bootable swap magic then we could make games boot the same way

Just as Handyguy said if you have a modchip you dont need a swap magic disk.

    *hugs his V7 modded with a DMS3*

I love you, no swapping, ever.

Hey PS2Daddy, what chip do you recommend for a USA V4 PS2? I'm about to put a new 400C laser in here to replace the craptacular 400B (that no longer reads DVD's, even after a voltage adjustment) as it requires no internal modifications to make this work. Its a V4, no-gap BIOS. I was thinking Duo2 or that Duo2SE that just came out. I basically want to go as cheap as possible, and just boot games on DVD-R and imports, most likely Im gunna give this one to my friend once its chipped.

    Duochips work great
I like Messiah 2, Duochip, and DMS3 chips
I am going to give a matrix infinity a try in my new PS2 to see how well they work.
