  1. Hello all!

I have been using TMPGdvdauthor to author my MPEG files onto DVD... I like the software, but menu choices are limited... I am completely new at this and get confused with all the DVD burning... I am good at VCD and SVCD, but DVD is new to me! Anyone got any good ones? I like the Tmpg becuase it encodes the audio for you. Any others do that... Please help!

I'm kinda partial to DVD Lab and Spruce Up.

    BASIC:
    1. TMPGENC DVD Author is easy for the newbie, but not too complex for the quality of the authoring.
    2. I used SpruceUp for about 6 months. Just know that it crashes on chapter creation sometimes.

    MID_LEVEL:
    1. I used DVDit! PE for 3 years, great software.
    2. Been using Ulead DVD Workshop 2 AC3 this past week.
Now that the patches fixed all the bugs, this is pretty good stuff.
8 projects down, many more to go.

    ADVANCED:
ReelDVD and Maestro are some good options for advanced authoring software. Maybe Encore, but it's awful buggy. Maybe DVD-Lab too.
