I am starting to build a website and want to add sound files. Can someone tell me the best way to do this. I have heard that you have to use MIDI files. The sound files would only be about 10-15 seconds long.
Thank You!!

P.S. I hope I posted this in the right area...![]()

Midi sound on a website is just about the most annoying thing in the world. I urge you to reconsider. If it is sound samples you want, MP3 should be fine.

888888,
Thanks for the response. I have the wav files but how do I convert them to MP3's. Do I have to download a special program for this. Again Thanks for the help it is surely appreciated....Paul -
Go to www.download.com and search for an audio converter. I suggest jetAudio, it does everything. It does everything WinAMP does with alot more features. All of the skins for WinAMP are on JetAudio, including MMD3.

Third in agreement... Now that would be for streaming... but if you are planning to have them as links thats fine. (I don't know... maybe you want to allow people to download dirty sounds ... 10-15 seconds long) ... Just don't push the sounds out when a person hits the site.Originally Posted by thecoalman
