In the price range it seems to come down to these three
JVC DR M10s (firewire input)
Panasonic DMR e55s
LiteOn LVW 5005 (firewire input)
Which one do you guys recommend for ease of use for a new-bee that hates to read badly written manuels and good quality recordings
I'm copying from already edited SVHS and Hi 8 tapes, plus from Comcast digital TV
While recording do these units have a pause function like my VCRs have to edit out commercials and unwanted segments on the fly.
Thanks in advance for your opinion and advise...

I can't read a lot, that's why after doing limited research this new-bee came up with these three and now I'm asking the experts which they would reccomend. I actually doze off when I read a lot, it's a medical problem.
