LG ffh-dv25ad un hack code for my dvd if poss

I have an LG DVD Home Cinema System model ffh-dv25ad a while back i came on this site and searched for an unlock code so i could watch out of region 2 DVD'S i couldnt find a specific code for my LG model but found one for a LG DVD player that was close to my model which I tried and it worked quite well playing american DVD'S
However for some reason it has stopped playing genuine region 1 DVD'S it just keeps trying to load the DVD then after 3 or 4 minutes ejects the DVD saying error i wondered if there was some way of resetting my model back to just region 2 and undoing the code I put in (as i now have a cheap DVD player that plays all regions ) so that I can once again make use of the 5 speaker surround sound
the instructions I followed to unlock originally are as follows - switch on with no DVD in tray press stop then pause then enter 314159 FF should appear press 0 then press pause switch power off leave 30 seconds then switch back on again-

i would say,go through the steps again,and try pressing "2" instead of "0".
i presume that the "0" was to make it region 0,region free.
so IMO,pressing "2" would make it region 2.
is it still playing any dvds,or not,is it playing dvd-rs,dvd+rs,or not.
if not then the whole thing might be fubar.
and a replacement is on the cards.

sometimes it will play a dvd an sometimes it wont its moody jus like the wife (ha ha)
i will try the replace 2 for the 0 i never even considered that (but then thats why i came on here to speak to my peers many thanx
