Copy to NTSC ?

Hi have a European DVD (PAL) I would like to copy using DVD Decryptor or DVD Shrinkand send off the copy to US friends.

Where do I set it has to be the NTSC system copy, it would otherwie not be playing on a US standalone DVD player, would it ??

No DVD ripper or compression program can change the TV system. They simply copy what's there. PAL would remain PAL. Check with your friends,their players are probably capable of playing PAL disks. Most non-major brand DVD players do PAL to NTSC conversion by default and vise versa.
Sony or Toshiba may not do PAL to NTSC conversion but virtually every other brand does.
Ripping and compression should make the disk region free.

Better for them to get a new cheap dvd player that will take pal disks..
