    What exactly are these? I see that some DVD Players support this format, but I don't know what they are or how they work and how you would burn them.

  3. Normal DVD movies have a very specific layout on the disk. This includes a little program that handles the menu displays, special features, etc. To create this type of disk you have to use a DVD mastering program.

    MPEGISO and DVD-MPEGISO refer to ISO format (data format, not movie format) disks with MPEG files on them. These don't require any mastering. When you insert this type of disk in a player that supports it you will get a plain text menu with the list of filenames -- just like you do when you on a PC. You just pick a file and play it.
