  1. Hi i was using a ATI TV WONDER VE to capture some analog video using my HI8 samsung sc810 camcorder. I'm using intervideo windvr to capture video. I am only able to get mono sound so far and i was wondering if i am able to capture stereo sound with this card. There are only two rca cables coming from my camcorder. One is video and one is audio. Also i would like to ask which format is it best to capture in for video editing? Thanks!! please reply!

  3. You will get sound out of 2 speakers but it won't be true stereo.

Isn't the ATI VE just video? Meaning the sound card would grab the audio?

I'm don't know if the ATI VE captures in stereo but the point is moot because your cam only has mono. If it does capture in stereo and you do and only have one channel the result is going to be that your audio will have a blank audio channel. In other words one speaker won't work.

When I'm capturing from a mono cam I set the audio capture settings to mono. When capturing I only here one channel but when viewing the video after capture it works in both speakers. After capturing you can always convert the mono to stereo but it won't make any difference.
