  1. Hi, I am trying to figure out how to clip/capture/cut a 20 second segment from a DVD. I've un-encrypted the files, but I can't find a program that will allow me to interactively view the movie and mark the segment and export to .mov format. Anyone know how to do this? I've figured out how to convert am entire VOB to MOV (using DiVA), but this is a time consuming operation. Also, I can use a Mac and/or PC.

    thanks,

  2. You might want to take a look at Cinematize. It will allow you to extract clips and save them as QuickTime movie files. I find it works pretty well.

You can also do it with a combination of freeware tools (e.g. MTR, bbDemux, macAC3, DiVA, etc.), but as you said it is time-consuming and requires a lot of tech knowledge about which utilities to use and in which order.

Yade X allows you to view, choose, export, any size clip from Object to Track into Streams or a VOB.
